Hair is my Passion! I have been in this profession for 25+ years and still love it like it’s my first day on the job. It excites me to use my artistic ability and create beautiful looks on a daily basis with my clients. Since my childhood I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my career, and nothing makes me happier than seeing the smile on my client’s face. My clients become like family to me as I strive to make their hair designs come to life. I specialize in haircuts and colors, and I especially love doing creative color. It gives me the freedom to express myself through hair. I dreamed of opening Koukla Salon since I was twelve years old and I am proud to provide high quality services in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

I graduated from Monty Tech in Fitchburg, MA in 2011 with my Cosmetology license. Since then, I have worked in salons across the state. Because of my love for education, I take several classes a year and go to many hair shows in order to further my knowledge in the beauty industry. In this spirit, I became a proud educator for Oligo Professionel in 2017. Providing the best services for my clients is my number one priority along with providing a clean, healthy, and relaxing salon environment. I am experienced in white hair coverage, cuts, color, various highlighting techniques, fashion colors, extensions, and keratin treatments.

I’ve been a stylist since 2013 after graduating from Empire Beauty School located in Boston. I was born in Ireland but lived most of my life in the North End and it has become a huge part of who I am. Through the years of practicing hair I’ve trained with Oribe, Goldwell, and R&Co as well as all the products that we carry at Koukla. I continuously attend classes and gain the knowledge to be a cutting edge stylist I wish I had! I love connecting with people and strive to have fun with each of my clients that sit in my chair. I adore blondes! I specialize in glam blowouts, layered cuts, and balayage. I excel at root touch-ups, Brazilian Blowouts and Keratin Treatments.
ALEX BAKER

After a brief enrollment at UMASS Amherst I attended Toni & Guy Cosmetology school located in Worcester, MA. The day after I graduated in 2017, I started working in Boston’s North End and have not looked back! My love for hair started when I was young watching and learning from my mother, a hairstylist. I love staying up to date on funky new styles and cuts as well as color techniques that will spice up my client’s looks. I specialize in bright, dimensional blondes (both highlighting and balayage), fashion colors, men’s cuts, short funky cuts, and long lived in locks. I also specialize in creating a safe, comfortable, and validating environment for my LGBT+ clientele. I have a strong belief that hair should look lived in, and I adore helping my clients find a cut and color that suits their life and style!
